To strengthen our organizing team for the 21st Winter Deaflympics in 2027, which will take place from January 15 to 24, 2027, in Innsbruck–Seefeld-Tirol, we have four internship positions available starting this fall:

RESPONSIBILITIES WE’D LIKE TO ENTRUST TO YOU
Assist the Sports Manager with all sports-related matters
Collaborating on the (further) development of concepts and the preparation of operational plans for training sessions, competitions, and award ceremonies
Assisting with the planning and management of athlete registration and the organization of the race office
Collaborating on the design and implementation of service and information processes for athletes and delegation leaders
Coordinating, liaising with, and supervising volunteers, clubs, partners, and suppliers
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE
Ideally, some practical experience or a background in sports or event management
A passion for sports and an interest in major international sporting events and inclusive sports
Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (!)
Very good German and English language skills
Commitment, ability to handle stress, and ability to work well in a team
Structured approach to thinking and working, a hands-on mentality, and an articulate demeanor
Class B driver’s license

RESPONSIBILITIES WE’D LIKE TO ENTRUST TO YOU
Assist the Event Services Manager
Contributing to concepts and operational planning in the areas of venue management, accommodations, accreditation, transportation, and catering
Developing requirements profiles and overseeing the request for proposals process for various service areas
Coordinating delivery, logistics, and distribution processes before, during, and after the event
Supporting organizational and operational tasks during the preparation phase and throughout the event
Coordinating, liaising with, and supervising volunteers, clubs, partners, and suppliers
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE
A completed higher commercial or technical education (HAK, HTL, university degree) and, ideally, initial practical experience in event and sports management
Very good German and English language skills
A structured approach to thinking and working, as well as quick comprehension and a hands-on mentality
Flexibility, a willingness to learn, the ability to work under pressure, strong teamwork skills, and a friendly and open demeanor
Interest in major international sporting events and inclusive sports
Class B driver’s license

TASKS WE’D LIKE TO ENTRUST TO YOU
Collaborating on and coordinating content creation (text, images, graphics, and basic video)
Writing engaging content and stories tailored to specific target audiences for online and offline channels
Assisting with editorial management of various digital platforms and social media channels
Contributing to the development and implementation of online marketing and communication initiatives
Conducting analyses and ongoing monitoring of individual channels
Helping to plan and organize media areas and services, as well as supporting media representatives during the event
Assisting with the creation of press kits, promotional materials, and publications
Coordinating, liaising with, and supervising volunteers, clubs, partners, and vendors
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE
Educational background and, ideally, initial professional experience in social media, communications, marketing, or event or sports management
Familiarity with the web and experience with the most common social media platforms
A flair for creative writing, design, and social media
Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign, Canva, Capcut, or DaVinci is a plus
Very good German and English language skills
Creativity, a friendly and open demeanor, the ability to work well under pressure, and strong teamwork skills
Interest in major international sporting events and inclusive sports
Class B driver's license

Assist the Partnerships and Marketing Manager
Support the acquisition and management of sponsors, expo exhibitors, and partners
Create related marketing materials as well as venue and event schedules
Support the planning and implementation of branding and activation initiatives at event venues
Participation in the planning and execution of the opening and closing ceremonies
Coordination, communication, and support for volunteers, clubs, partners, and suppliers
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE
Ideally, some practical experience or a background in marketing, sports management, or event management
An affinity for sponsorship topics and an interest in brands, their values, and marketing activities
An interest in major international sporting events and inclusive sports
Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as tools like Canva
Very good German and English language skills
Commitment, quick learner, hands-on attitude, and ability to work well under pressure
Ability to work well in a team, creativity, and a friendly and open demeanor
Class B driver’s license
